Simplified Claims Settlement Process for Kerala Flood Victims by DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance

New Delhi: DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Co. Ltd. has set up a special help desk to service the beneficiaries of the policyholders affected by the ravaging floods in the state of Kerala. For the quick settlement of the claims, the company has simplified the claim documentation requirements and has appointed nodal officers to oversee the claim settlement process of Kerala flood victims.

The company has issued a list of the documents required to process the claim:

  • Municipal Death Certificate or Death Certified by any competent Government authority like Local Government of Kerala / Armed Forces / Government Hospitals / Police Authority
  • Completely filled Death Claim Form
  • Claimant ID, residence proof & bank account details to ensure claims are paid to correct beneficiary

Notably, Kerala has witnessed the highest rainfall in 87 years due to which the state is under heavy floods. More than 400 people have died in Kerala floods. The rescue operation is going on and more than 43,000 people have been rescued. Almost 12.47 lakh people are lodged in relief camps.

The help for the ‘God’s own country’ is coming from everywhere. The Central Government has exempted relief material from basic customs duty and IGST and has also declared Kerala floods as ‘calamity of severe nature’.

By simplifying the claim settlement for Kerala flood victims, DHFL has also fulfilled its commitment towards a social cause.
