Celebrating Indo-Afghan strong bonds by CD Foundation

CD Foundation is organizing a 15-day Afghanistan and culture festival from 10 to 25 Oct in collaboration with India’s Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan’s Embassy in New Delhi, Marwah Studio and Roseate House, Aerocity, Delhi.

The event is aimed at promoting Indo-Afghan friendship and celebrating centenary of Afghanistan’s independence.

It is in Delhi, Noida and Chandigarh.

Mr. Tahir Qadiry, Charge de Affairs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in India inaugurates 15-day grand exhibition to promote fashion, food and culture

Noida. To promote Fashion, Food and Culture to mark the centenary of Afghanistan’s independence CD Foundation initiate a 15 day grand exhibition begins from today. On this occasion Mr. Tahir Qadiry, Charge de Affairs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in India was also present at Marwah Studio, Noida UP. Mr. Qadiry said that on September 23, Afghanistan completed its hundred years of independence, therefore collaboration with the Indian partners to make the festival a grand success is a way of celebrating this grand and historic occasion. He added, the 15-days long festival will be a showcase and promotion of Afghanistan’s food, tradition, fashion, and culture.

Meanwhile, Charu Das, the founding director of CD Foundation, said that it is a privilege that her foundation has the responsibility of the organization of this festival. She added this initiative was mainly taken by CD Foundation to meet its commitments made in Kabul during a formal visit of the city by a group of Indian delegation in August 2019. According to her, her aim for planning this grand festival is dual. On the one hand, it is a way to exhibit various aspects of Afghanistan culture to Indians. On the other hand, it provides an opportunity for the participants (women entrepreneurs) to get trained in their respective fields by Indian experts and to create a network for doing future business in India. She also said that fest entitled Afghanistan Food, Fashion and Culture Festival in India held in multiple venues of Delhi NCR and Chandigarh.

Besides Mr. Tahir Qadiri and Miss Charu Das, the Chairman of the Asian Academy of Film and Television, Mr. Sandeep Marwah also had attended the occasion. He praised the initiative as well as expressed his views about the importance of such cultural festivals. He subsequently promised his support and collaboration for a better implementation of the program.
